We have developed a two day course (10 hours total) which covers nearly everything you need to start mixing for yourself/professionally. Having worked with hundreds of artists over thousands of mixes, we have condensed an entire curriculum into two days which promises students a look into the technical, philosophical and the business side of the audio industry. OUR CURRICULUM

DAY ONE -

THEORY & BASICS

We will explain in depth how to logically apply plug-ins/hardware to a mix (EQ, Compression, Saturation, Reverb, Delay, Etc.) as well as explain the concept of a mix both scientifically and philosophically. No more pre designed effects chains.

DAY TWO -

PRACTICAL APPLICATION

We will run students through simulated real life scenarios and walk them through an entire mix down (multi-tracks up) while encouraging the direct utilization of what was taught the previous class. We provide students with comprehensive notes to follow as well as offer access to our entire mixing stations use, familiarizing them with the importance of varied playback mediums. All students leave having completed a mix.

Fast-Track Audio Engineering Course by Brenden Ormandy

  • Focus: Apply learned skills in real-world mix scenarios.

    • Hands-on mixing exercises with critique and feedback from an in-house audio engineer.

    • Exploration of questions related to mixing, mastering, and next steps in the industry.

  • Absolutely. We've designed this course to address common areas of difficulty that most beginner engineers encounter at some point.

  • Advanced engineers may not benefit as much as absolute beginners, but they can still gain valuable insights from this course. Access to our professional environment and learning different methods from other engineers can be particularly helpful when encountering roadblocks in their learning process.

  • We charge $500 per lesson/day over two days. This is only slightly higher in cost than our base audio recording sessions. We've made every effort to price this course with respectful consideration for eager learners.

  • The instructor is Brenden Ormandy, the founder of our company. With dedicated university-level study and years of professional commercial experience, he designed the program in response to the common client inquiry, "Is audio engineering school worth it?"
