Thank You Calgary.

Upon registering our company and building our location, hope fuelled us far beyond any concrete operational plan. Our original studio construction plan was built in Minecraft. I’m 21 at the time of writing this and I am willing to admit a lot of what’s landed us where we are today has been blind passion. I’ve studied audio to the point of becoming reclusive since I was 17. I remember working at a pizza shop and quitting the moment I could run off and buy my first synth. I ran my first studio out of my bedroom in 2018, and at the time an SM7B felt like royalty. Check out my dangerous first setup.

It’s a nice little place.

I got into audio engineering with not only the goal of keeping my friends and I out of trouble, but with a vision of someday being a part of Calgary’s heritage. I would be nothing if not for the exact circumstances YYC has thrown my way, positive and negative. I have an extremely deep affinity for this city, and I am willing to bank my last breath on this places artistic success.

Our first year has been anything but consistently positive. I do not want to hide behind a corporate identity and pretend this has been a flawless and profitable experience. We’re in this for the art, and art comes best when it’s honest. We have spent far more money than we have earned and continue to do so to this day. I worked construction for years and near each dime has ended up behind our studios walls. However - we have also worked with hundreds of local artists. We have had the pleasure of meeting so many amazing people and I would personally rather take immediate financial loss and hope for the best as long as the case is I meet more of you than take a safe and immediately profitable path. You are all so talented. You make this worth it. The people I have founded this company with have become family to me, and we have learned and shared so much with each other - the unifying factor being providing Calgary with the best modern music production facility possible.

We will be Canadas next Vancouver/Toronto. I am willing to work until I have nothing left to help us get there. Turning back now would be useless, so you’re stuck with us Calgary. Here’s to year two.

Warmly,
